3DAdvantage DSLR-1 TEST SHOTS

Taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XTi

SET 1: taken with a Canon 35mm fixed lens

UNEDITED IMAGE TAKEN BY THE 3DADVANTAGE IN TOP-TO-TOP FORMAT:

SAME IMAGE AS STEREO PAIR AFTER PROCESSING IN STEREOPHOTOMAKER

OTHER SHOTS TAKEN WITH THE 35mm LENS

Below is a picture of the same house taken with the Canon Digital Rebel XTi with the 35mm lens without the 3DA.  By comparison, you will notice that the FOV of the stereo version approximates a scene taken with a 52mm lens from the same position.  Theefore, to calculate the approximate effective focal length of a lens on the 3DA, multiply the FL of the lens by 1.5.

SET 2:

SHOTS TAKEN WITH A CANON EF-S 18-55mm ZOOM LENS

at 18mm the lens spreads way beyond the mirrors, giving a very vignetted view

at 24mm there is less vignetting, but the usable image area is still reduced

at 35mm the image fills the frame as expected.

OTHER SHOTS TAKEN WITH THE 18-55mm ZOOM LENS

this portrait was taken with the 3DA set at 2.5" stereo base, and the lens set at 55mm

the picture below was also taken with a 2.5" stereo base and a 55mm lens setting

the cat below was shot with a larger base than needed, but he kept walking toward me as I was trying to focus!

a little too close to this lathe, too
