Loyalty, Honor... and Respect!
Rank Descriptions
- Capo di Tutti Capi - The Boss of all the Bosses. He runs the commission and has the power to boot anyone off of the commission (committee consisting of the Dons of most families). The current Boss of Bosses is Capo Crimini Johnny Fingers of the Fingers Enterprises Family.
- Capo Crimini - The Don, otherwise known as the Boss or the
Godfather, is the head of the family and is the one who commands every
operation within the family. Every member of the family is expected to
pay a cut of their profits to the boss as family dues. The Don usually
has a seat on The Commission, a board of directors that
consists of most of the other family Dons, and helps make the
Commission rules. Always obey the Don; failure to do so will result in
death. The current Don of Lansky is Capo Crimini Tito.
- Consigliere - The Consigliere is usually a good friend of
the Don, loyal and trustworthy. He acts as advisor to the Don and also
takes care of the families legal dealings. He also keeps the
Underbosses busy and passes down information to the lower ranking
members. He has connections with the Judicial system and is able to keep his family members out of prison. The current Consigliere of Lansky is DDub.
- Capo Bastone - The Capo Bastones (Underbosses) are
appointed by the Don and are each in control of half of the family. The
Underboss answers to the Don. It is their responsibility
to make sure the Caporegimes are doing their jobs and to make sure new
family members stay active. The Capo Bastones keep track of who pays dues and reports them to the Don. Lansky's current Capo Bastones are Green Gazzon and Try.
- Caporegime - The job of the Caporegime is to make sure all of his crew are earning cash and staying active. The Caporegimes answer to the Underbosses. They have the power to recruit and are responsible for helping all new recruits, to stay in contact
with the Capo Bastone and Capo Criminis, and to send any orders he receives down to his crew. The current Caporegimes of Lansky include Dirk Diggler, Lucky Lucciano, Vinny Gio, and Caterina Murray.
- Street Boss - The position of Lieutenant or Street Boss holds
some authority but mainly serves as an assistant to the Capo or senior
'Made Man'. Becoming a Street Boss means your hard work and talent as an authority
figure have been noticed and you may be given a business to protect. A family member must be an experienced killer in order to be promoted to Street Boss.
- Soldier - When you achieve 'Made Man' status by being promoted to soldier you have
finally become a honourable member of your crime family. You have worked
hard and paid your dues and you have finally achieved the highest,
non-upper position available. Some see this rank as lowly as you are always
vulnerable to murder. Yet holding this position is still very respectable
and should be nothing less than an honour. As a soldier you are able to begin killing for the family, but be careful; if you are sloppy you will be killed in return!
- Enforcer - At this rank, you have literally beaten your way
into the family. You are a family 'enforcer' and only have a little
more work to do before you become a feared and respected Made Man or
Soldier.
- Associates - Everyone must start from the bottom, and this
is it. At Associate, you are new to the family and must do simple
jobs such as extorting businesses, beating, and robbing to move your way up the
family. When you first join Crime-World you will be under protection
for several days. This is to make sure you don't get whacked by the
tougher mobsters when you're working on the streets. Take advantage of this time to read the family rules, the Crime-World tutorial, to begin making money, and to ask your uppers for help. As soon as your protection ends you will be an easy target so it is to your advantage to understand the city by this time.
