Pure
p The pure population is represented with a lowercase p.
* Only a genotype of [pp] is a 'Pure' individual, free of contamination of physical and genetic levels from the disease
Diseased
" Slowly, flesh flakes and peels away from the diseased, exposing some of our muscles and bone structure. To those that thrived in the low lands, their ancestors having done the same, they find themselves partially stripped of their casing, their skeleton revealed in a fashion so horribly gory that it appears to have come straight out of a slaughter house."
d The genetically diseased (but not physically visible) population is represented with a lowercase d.
D The physically diseased population is represented with an uppercase D
Super Disease
"Flesh falls and melts away with this new type of diseased, exposing bones and organs. Not even those who were immune survive. Death is but a blessing from this agonized existance."
D+ The physically diseased population is represented with an uppercase D
Immune
"For the contaminated, our offspring.. some effected before birth, most through conception, and the very few.. have become genetically superior. Their immune systems are top notch, usually caused by long lines of diseased ancestors, and few factors seem able to effect them in any way, shape or form. But this is rare.. and nearly unheard of..."
Those who are immune do not contract the disease from any source, be it from bodily fluids, direct contact or consumption of contaminated food or drink sources. They do not show physical or genetic mutations of the disease, even if they would have otherwise carried the disease as predetermined at birth. Immunity is a congenital mutation - it cannot be acquired after birth; but develops during the development of the fetus.
p+ If the offspring would be otherwise born pure, the immunity is of the p+ variety. Those connected to the p gene are known to pass on their genetic immunity to their offspring.
d+ If the offspring would be otherwise born diseased, the immunity is of the d+ variety. Those connected to a 'd' gene are not known to pass on their genetic immunity to their offspring.
* in cases of p+ the immunity is passed on by default and the immune parent is represented by the [p+] genotype
** in cases of d+ the immunity is not passed down and so the immune parent is represented by the [d] genotype.
First Position
Xx - The first position of the genetic genotype. Unlike other genes, the first position indicates the gene at birth. Birth Punnent Squares are used to determine the initial predisposition to the disease of the unborn fetus. The "Birth Punnent Square" Elements are determined by the Second Position of the parents.
Second Position
xX - The second position of the genetic genotype. Unlike other genes, the second position indicates the current status of the gene. The Second position is used in determining the birth punnent of any progeny.
Phenotype
[pp], [pd], [dd] [p+], [d+] - The organism in question will appear completely intact without loss of skin pigmentation or physical quality.
[pD], [dD], [DD] - The organism in question will show outward signs of the flesh-eating disease varying anywhere from cracking of the skin to a patchy skeletal-like state.
[pD+], [dD+], [DD+] - The organism in question will show outward signs of the flesh-eating disease progressing to a skeletal state.

Breeding TransferSuper Bug transfers via body fluids (saliva, semen, blood) [mare will not pass Super Bug to stallion, will still pass on disease]
|
Battle TransferSuper Bug transfers via body fluids (saliva, semen, blood) So for every bite received is another chance of catching the disease so this will be worked out after fights depending on how many bites a horse receives.
