The terrace
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served on the cool and shady terrace in front of the plantation house in a bistro like setting. While a lot of local people came to appreciate the cuisine of Landhuis Daniel, there is often a cozy intermingling of locals and hotel guests.
The cuisine of Landhuis Daniel can be described as a mix of modern French-Mediterranean and nouvelle Creole cuisine, with emphasis on the taste palette, but with an eye on presentation as well. We are dedicated to use as much as possible locally produced ingredients such as herbs and vegetable from our own garden, eggs, game and fowl from Tropical Farm Oase nearby and fish from our local fisherman. We serve three kinds of menus: our always changing surprise menu, a weekly changing choice menu and a fixed a la carte menu. Vegetarians will also delight in several of the dishes.
We also serve seasonal Dutch specialities as steamed mussels, white asparagus and game.
For the little ones we have a variety of 25 different Dutch style pancakes. The preparation of breakfast and lunch also has the fullest attention of the chef.
