Lancers' Requiem

And You Shall Be As Gods

Rules

The Lancers' Requiem follows few strict rules that have carried over from the Blue Raiderz clan.  All clan rules are enforced by the Senatorum, and Magistrates make sure the rules are being followed.  Failure to follow these rules will result in either a warning or discharge from the clan.  All rules must be followed by all clan members, regardless of rank and position:

  1. Team work is essential to victory.  You must talk to your teammates and respect their opinions.
  2. No Cheating/Glitching/Hacking will be permitted.  You must play legitimately in all games you play.
  3. You must play the game right and respect other players.  Do not tarnish the reputation of the clan over a petty argument.
  4. No going crazy in-game (ex. committing suicide/and or killing members on your team).  This rule only applies to public games and/or matches.
  5. Respect all clan allies and their members.  If you have a problem with a particular member of an allied clan, let the Senatorum know about it.

As far as sportsmanship goes, we can understand what goes on inside the games.  But, we will not let bad-sportsmanship ruin one of our games.  If you start cursing uncontrollable in vain at any other player because he/she is killing you or whatever, the Senatorum will take action.  Punishment for such behavior depends on the act.  Small acts of rule breaking will result with a suspension from the clan, with varying lengths of time.  More serious acts of rule breaking will result with a suspension, or possible discharge from the clan.

Requirements

There are very few requirements among our members.  Because we are a mature gaming clan, we follow some basic guidelines that we believe every gamer should follow.
  1. First of all, the Lancers' Requiem holds gamers who are patient and mature in high esteem.  This means that we admire people who are respectful of other people, generally speaking those who do not discriminate the beliefs, opinions, or lifestyles of others.  We dislike people who are immature, speak hateful things, and are generally "loud mouthed" about topics or opinions that they do not believe in.
  2. Second, we like people who are fun to play with, meaning that the person can play a game and not get overly aggressive to the point of continuous hateful language and swearing.  Since we too are gamers, we know what it's like when things get competitive.  However, it is always nice to play with people who, even when under stressful conditions, are able to talk to their teammates and keep their cool.
  3. Third, although this is generally not necessary, we admire gamers who are skillful, but at the same time do not treat others with disrespect because of it.  Even if you are not good at a particular game or genre, we will accept you if you play regularly with the clan and aim to increase your skills.  We do not talk trash to our opponents, and rarely talk trash even if our opponents do so.

Authority Structure

Clans must always have some sort of leadership, both to organize it's members and enforce some sort of discipline.  When we were known as the the Blue Raiderz, we had a group of leaders called the Commission.  It was a small group, consisting of only five or so members, but we held the clan together and improved on our mistakes.  Well, the Founders of the Lancers' Requiem have decided to keep this style of leadership, but have improved on it and have made it more accessible to everyone.

The concept of how the Authority Structure works is very simple.  First, the Founders of the Lancers' Requiem clan are, of course, at the top of the pyramid.  The group they belong to is called the "Senatorum", and is also referred to as the "Lancea Senate".  Members of this group are called either Founders or Senators.  Their word is law, and they have the final say in all things that are crucial to the clan or affect the clan overall.

Following the Senatorum is the "Magistratum".  The Magistratum consists of
the clan's highest ranking member, and are the clan's secondary leaders.  Members of this group are called Magistrates.  While we do not have a lot of members, the current role of this group is to organize and plan for the clan.
  • The Founders and Clan Leaders are within the Senatorum.  They make the final decisions.
  • The highest ranking members below the clan leaders/founders are within the Magistratum.
