Lancaster University Lacrosse Club

Lancaster supports Men's, Women's and Mixed lacrosse, and fields a team in each area.

Currently our Men's team have just finished competing in the BUCS League (British University and College Sports) for the first time, our Women's team due to enter many regional tournaments throughout the upcoming season, and our Mixed team entering in the Northern Universities Mixed League for the 3rd year running.

We are a relatively small club compared to most on campus, yet have a high team spirit as we are the only club on campus that trains Men and Women together (in the form of the Mixed team once a week), and similarly have joint Men's and Women's socials weekly!

Regardless of our small size in previous seasons we have still managed to make trips to tournaments at various destinations all over the UK, and even Europe such as Salou in Spain and Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. We also take part in our Universities annual tournament - Battle of the Roses - this year, 2010, we will be looking to make York pay for the crushing defeat away last year!

We take in a wide variety of abilities, mostly beginners, and all equipment is provided! Keep a lookout for us at Freshers Fair 2009  and on campus at the demo in Alexandra Square.

Don't forget to come along to our Taster Session at the end of Freshers Week, or any training session afterwards and we'll show you the basics!
