FINAL DESTINATION

"Final destination",  is a book of poetry I self published this book a few years back.  I cannot write a line of poetry without God's inspiration.  There are appr. 186 pages of poetry about God, family, love, cotton picking and chopping. I lived near The Mississippi River and almost on the bank of the beautiful Reelfoot Lake which was formed by the earthquakes in 1811, and 1812.   My first grade teacher said she has read this book through several times and still reads it.  Two ladies bought the book and one said, "I keep it by my bed beside my Bible, I read it often."  The other lady came by my house and took a copy home with her.  Later, I got a nice letter from her it read "I took your book home not realizing what lay between the pages.  I opened my car door in my garage and read appr. 100 pages before I got out of the car."

My grammar is not that great but I have stories to tell and inspirational things I need to get out before my cup runneth over.  Forgive the bad grammar and enjoy the poetry and true things about my life.

Most things in this poetry book are true.

Morning Dew

Oh, how rich that I would be, if I could gather what I see.
Diamonds, rubies, and emeralds too, all sparkle right here in the
morning dew.
Why, if I blink my eyes just right, I can see unheard of sights.
The songs I hear coming from the birds tiny throats, if I could
capture every note, it would top anything that was ever wrote.

Clear the songs and special too, all right here in the morning dew.

If I want to see natural wonders, I need not go to a far away place,
just right here near the pasture gate.
If by some magic I could only take, what beautiful music I could
make.
Now do you see how rich I would be, if I could only gather what I see.

No God

I never understood how anybody could believe there was no God.  First let me say that's what I'm here today, I know that from my heart.  Einstein, with all his smarts never made a tree; Test-tube babies being born is not a mystery.  Without the seed from the man God made, this would never even start.  Not one man has ever made one little beating heart;  Have you ever watched the skies on a bright and sunny day, how the birds and bees are flying this and that way?  Man don't tell them where to go, so how are they so smart?  God, planted each bird and bee a plan written in the heart.  God, gave us the same plan, its written in the heart of every man.  Have you ever touched the petals of a rose, and smelled its sweet perfume, and wondered how something so lovely came from thorns?  Michaelangelo did paint with much beauty to behold;  But not once did anything he create take root and start to grow.  I see God in children's faces ,the sun and in the rain, I even see him in old people's pain.  Who made the earth, the moon and stars, and the sun to light the day, it was not man, I can truthfully say;  So lets don't say there is no God until we can make a world without the things that we could never make, and would surely die without.
