Lakota Films, LLC

Sometimes it is necessary to go a long way out of the way in order to come back a short distance properly."

Writer-Director-Producer-Editor

Alyssa Polacsek
has worked in film, television, theatre and radio both above and below the line.  She founded Lakota Films in an effort to combine her environmental and humanitarian interests with her love for the arts and entertainment.  It is named in memory of an original Sawtooth wolf pack member as the result of an 'adoption gift' to protect wolves.  Lakota means friend, one who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement.

Involvement with the NRDC, Defenders of Wildlife, Earthjustice, The Humane Society, and others, further expresses her desire to promote positive change.  In addition she practices the Leave No Trace Theory, a nationally recognized outdoors skills and ethics awareness program.

Alyssa initiated a Class Action lawsuit to stop fraudulent consumer debt counseling programs from preying upon people in need of financial assistance.   This case benefited more than 450,000 people. As in life, Alyssa promises to bring this same level of commitment, integrity and passion to the productions of Lakota Films.
