Firehouse 10 is located in the northern most section of Lake County and provides Fire, ALS Medical, and Rescue services to the citizens of Lake County. Firehouse 10 responds to calls for assistance within a first due area of approximately 100 sq miles. This first due area includes the communities of Astor and Astor Park and the Lake County portion of the Ocala National Forest. The Town of Astor is located along the St. John's River and has busy State Road 40 running through the middle of town.  The resident population of Astor sees a great deal of commuter traffic on SR 40 and an influx of boaters during the weekends and holidays.

 To the East Firehouse 10 provides Mutual Aid assistance to Volusia County covering the Volusia section of Astor and the outlying areas of Pierson and Barberville . To the West Mutual Aid is provided to Marion County along State Road 40 and State Road 19. Firehouse 10 covers a portion of the Ocala National Forest working closely with the US Forest Service Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers. Responses into the forest include such areas as Alexander Springs State Park, Wildcat Lake, and Lake George.
