My Winter A&S project did very well. I received a 44.5 out of 45. I was also surprised to received the Coronet's Acclaim. My project was Folio f. 37 [MS Typ 252] from a French Lectionary of the Gospels for Holy Week, which was completed by the artist known as Master of Claude de France. Folio f. 37 is dated around 1510-1515, contains an illusionistic border of flowers, fruit, and insects, with 17 lines of Latin written in a Roman script. The folio is 18.9 x 12.5 cm size or 7.4 x 4.9 inches. It can be seen here MS Typ 252.
I used period pigments, vellum, shell gold, gold leaf and oak gall ink that I made myself. I displayed my illumination with three different levels and had bread erasers [check out Cennini] for people to try. [by the way I made my own bread] I made my own brushes, quill, and oak gall ink.

My entry was selected to go to Gulf War. YEA! Ah, but alas it did not do as well there as at home. I received a 20 out of 25. Some of the comments I expected, however, one of the things stated that my documentation was not complex enough and that I should grind my own pigments.
I guess I will have to work on that. But I did make my own oak gall ink and bread.
