After ending my studies and publishing my promotional endstudy about artificial lawns using special rubber underlayements I was contacted by the Flemish firm DMC international.
They were very interested in my new precede and wanted to work together with me to improve my new creation. I got a nice contract and started working together with their research-lab. By adding a new developed fertilizer to the rubber underlayment we could solve the problem of the dying natural grass in dry weatherconditions.
After a year the first test at the local soccer team of Visé took place. These test was successfull and more clubs got intrested.
Also private persons are testing our product. Their monthly input is important to the further development of our lawn.
DMC, having good contacts with Sporting Lokeren (professional soccer team in Belgium), have now arranged a new test-day at Lokeren on April the 1st. The players will test our DMC lawn on rubber on a hard underground at their stadium. After this test we hope to subscribe new persons or clubs to test the rubber-lawns for free.
Later in April new tests will take place in Visé. A delegation of PSG and the lawn-manager of ArenA in Amsterdam are going to attempt this test and want to have a test in their stadiums in the summer.
The contacts with Fifa haven't yet brought an approval but we hope that Sporting Lokeren has the possibility to use our creation next season in their official games.
If you want more information about this product or you want to test it please contact: jeanlabreme@telenet.be
Important update (31/03/2005): Fifa has just allowed a testperiod for two seasons to evaluate the DMC Lawns. The lawn can be used in official games next season. This means very good news. Ajax Amsterdam now wants to test our product as soon as possible.
The test in Lokeren is now arranged at 15 h00 instead of 10h30 to allow an Ajax delegation to come to Lokeren. Assistent coach Krol, Dutch referee Jol and some players ( De Mul, Galasek, Mitea,..) will attemp this test.
More news soon
