KSLI Battlefield Clan Site

The KSLI Clan is a Battlefield 1942 Clan. We play exclusively on the GGClan Server. We chose the KSLI as the name for our clan, as it represents the unsung heroism that was characteristic of all the units, regiments, divisions, groups and individuals who fought with such bravery in the defence of liberty and freedom in the Second World War, but yet have melted into the depths of history and been all but forgotten.

We have taken one of these groups who's heroic efforts were typical of many of the forgotten heroes of the past, and chosen to call our Clan the KSLI in honour of the sacrifices and heroism of these great men, who when called upon in the face of duty gave their all and won through to victory. Their deeds will not be forgotten and their sacrifices shall be remembered. 

This is also one of the reasons why the KSLI Rules are strict, in order to make sure that the spirit of the KSLI Clan embodies that same spirit of Mateship, Comradeship, Heroism, Courage, Valour and Mutual Protection. The KSLI is a very team based clan, our rules are there to encourage each player to work for the good of the team, not just for themselves, working as part of a great team to achieve victory through coordinated effort.

The KSLI Clan is committed to:

• Improving the skill level of it's clan members
• Promoting teamwork and fairplay
• Avoiding Team Kills at ALL costs ( Clan members are expected to make this their number 1 priority, along with contibuting to the team's victory through basepoint capture, healing and repair of team mates, etc.)

The KSLI Rules are aimed at making the game as enjoyable for all as possible.

Above all, the KSLI Clan are a group of Like-minded, fun-loving Battlefield 1942 fans dedicated to improving their skills & making a positive contribution to the team. Courage & Valour - KSLI Forever!

Below is a short Historical Background of the KSLI, however these short words cannot express all that they went through, nor all of their heroism, so typical of all the forgotten heroes of the past.

The KSLI was an elite british infantry regiment which landed amongst the first wave on D-Day. They were landed on Sword beach and were charged with the capture of several important strategic positions inland from the invasion beaches. These positions included the French town of Caen, a major strategic position and German Stronghold. It was the site of the much hated Gestapo Area HQ as well as the site of a large prison housing captured members of the French Resistance.

The KSLI forged their way inland against huge odds, amidst sniper and machine gun fire, destroying several tanks from the German 21st Panzer Division and blocking their advance, capturing the towns of beuville, bieville, Lebisey and Caen, thus securing the Allied Beachhead. This gave the Allies room to breathe and establish their port facilities at the beaches and unload their equipment, supplies, men and machines to push forward and drive the Germans back.

Their spirit of courage and bravery embodies all that is the KSLI.

Their Heroism Lives On, And Their Sacrifices Shall Be Remembered.
