Housekeeping notes
Just a few housekeeping notes that have come to my attention.
The end of the 2007-2008 SBRA year is rapidly approaching. Please turn in any finals bids you may have as soon as possible. Please let the secretary know what dates you are thinking of so the calendar can be double checked, and a date can be reserved.
If you have any petitions to submit for the upcoming year, they need to be sent to the secretary as soon as possible, as they have to be published in an upcoming newsletter to be considered at the rule change meeting.
Both finals bids and petitions can be mailed to the secretary at P.O. Box 746, Dodge City, KS 67801; e-mailed to ksCowgirl78@yahoo.com or faxed to me at work at 620-227-7173 (be sure to put attn: Kylene on it.)
Just a reminder to SBRA jackpot sponsors, be sure that after your jackpot you find a ride for the SBRA timer and the box. This will help the next sponsor be able to have all the needed equipment for their race. It takes time and effort to put on these races, so please be considerate of all the people involved.
One final thing, if you have to cancel a race, please call around and have people warn one another that it has been canceled. Everyone does not have e-mail/Internet acess at all times, and we cant rely on those as the only source to get the word out a race has been canceled. And, if you reschedule, and the date is in between newsletters, you must send out notice to the membership at your expense, so people have ample warning. This is noted in the rulebook.

Newsletter
The July Newsletter went in the mail June 23.
Members please let me know if you would like an e-mail copy instead of the paper/snail mail version. Those members who are on the SBRA list will automatically get a electronic version of the newsletter intead of the paper version.
RULES
Members: Please be aware of our rules. We have rulebooks available at any SBRA jackpot. If there is a discrepancy, please refer to the rulebook or contact one of the board of directors. Rules apply to non members as well.

When you have completed your
jackpot, please contact either the secretary or treasurer. There are new policies regarding where the paperwork goes.
The SBRA rulebook states the secretary must receive the paperwork within 10 days, same goes for treasurer. This also makes it easier for the results to get on the web and in the newsletter.
