SBRA member, Peggy Birney died following an accident on the way to the Kansas NBHA finals in Topeka, May 21. Riding with Birney was Gennifer McDonald. Although McDonald was never a SBRA member, she ran at numerous jackpots in the area including SBRA's.
Peggy Birney's funeral was held May 26. Cards and condolences can be sent to her husband, Carl, at 323 CR B, Bucklin, KS 67834.
Gennifer's funeral was also held May 26 in Dodge City. An obituary can be found at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
Finney County Fairgrounds NOTICE
The Finney County Fairgrounds is implementing a couple new rules regarding the tractor and horses.
—When the tractor is in the arena, there are to be no horses past the center gate posts in the Horse Palace.
—When the tractor is running or operating in the warm-up area (to the east of the entrance to the Horse Palace) there are to be NO horses in the warm up area.
See the attached diagram for more information. **Please note, the center gate is considered where the 12-foot gates are on the east end of the arena. The Warm up area is behind the center gates and on the east side of the Horse Palace. This diagram doesnt currently show those two things.**

When you have completed your
jackpot, please contact either the secretary or treasurer. There are new policies regarding where the paperwork goes.
The SBRA rulebook states the secretary
must receive the paperwork within 10 days, same goes for treasurer. This also makes it easier
for the results to get on the web and in the newsletter.
David Seymour was at the SBRA Finals on Sept. 26, 2009.
He was also at the 2008 SBRA Finals Oct. 11, 2008; the KPRA Fundraiser/SBRA jackpot on June 8, 2008 in Dodge City; and the SBRA at Scott City, Sept. 13, 2008.
