Kristie's Kustom Kakes

I have to admit it!  I have a major sweet tooth!  But, hey, who doesn't?  I've been baking desserts and cakes since I was a little girl and have always enjoyed it.  Why not do something you enjoy?  So, I signed up for the Wilton classes and really loved it.  Baking and decorating cakes have become my hobby.  Buttercream, fondant, and gumpaste...the possibilities are endless.  Just use your imagination!

I've had many people ask me if I bake cakes for other people.  Yes, I do bake cakes for friends, friends of friends, and family as a hobby.  I am not a business...it is just for fun. 

People often don't understand all of the hard work and time that goes into creating a cake.  Most people think it is ok to buy a boxed cake mix and a can of frosting for a total of $ 5 or go to a local supercenter and buy a standard sheetcake.  What they don't realize is that can of frosting is full of preservatives or that the standard sheetcake has been frozen and shipped in to the supercenter from another location and isn't fresh.  Who wants to eat 'old', bad tasting cake?  I guess you get what you pay for though. 

My cakes are always fresh baked and decorated with home-made icing.  No preservatives or extenders are in my kustom kakes!  Only the best ingredients are used and my cakes are 'kustomized' for each order.  Real Madagascar vanilla beans, rich dairy cream, butter, eggs, and other ingredients are blended for my cakes.  Is your mouth watering yet?
