Kristen was so defiant when wearing her school ID badges. She served many Saturday detentions due to not wearing her badge. We even posted a note on the door "Do you have your ID"?

In Loving Memory of Kristen Douglas You are greatly missed by all. Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Illinois Chapter 500 N. Dearborn Suite 305 Chicago, IL In memory of Kristen From all your friends and fellow Wildcats. |
“Forget me not, for I am there. In the beat of your heart, On the wing of your prayer.” On behalf of the family of Kristen L. Douglas: Thank you for your continued support and prayers to guide us though this difficult time. It is meaningful to have such a wonderful outpour of love, and support from our friends. Everything you have done for our family is greatly appreciated. Life will not go on the same way without Kristen. If it were the same, we could only conclude her life meant nothing, made no contribution. The fact that she left behind a place that cannot be filled is a high tribute to the uniqueness of her soul. |
Classmates & Friends Share Memories of Kristen:
Saturday, May 29th, 2004 graduation was held at the Braden Auditorium, Illinois State University. Kristen had a chair with cap, gown, her senior pic and a single red rose. Her name was read along the graduating class and her diploma was mailed home. Some of her class mates wore white armbands with her initials in her memory. When her yearbook arrived home, we were surprised to see that her classmates dedicated a page in her memory. The love of her friends touches our heart.

This is Kristen at graduation. She had a chair and sat along side her classmates, with her picture, cap and a single red rose.
