Kovu`s Grief
Life is good, what can be so bad,
Kovu my love tell me why you are sad.
My mother is evil, she wants me to kill,
And I all I can do is bend to her will.
Does he love me or hate me, I cannot tell.
I try to do good things, and she just yells.
I am no puppet, I am no machine,
I can become more than she`s ever been.
She`s lost in her anger, grief and despair
I cannot do anything to try and save her.
But in your eyes I see love and joy,
And I know you won`t use me as a toy,
So I will stay forever with you,
And live together as one is what we will do.

A little info about me
My name actually means “Scar” in Swahili. I guess I did`nt get that name by exident. But at least I know that even if I do look like Scar, I`ll never be like him. Sadly, my mother never realized that. I have lived in the outlands my whole life. When I was a cub, I met Kiara. She was the daughter of Simba and Nala, the rulers of Pride Lands. Simba had banished some of the lions in the pride because we were loyal to Scar, Simbas late uncle. Scar had picked me to follow in his pawprints, and my mother never gave up training me for that single purpose. But I felled in love with Kiara, and as time passed, our feelings for eachother got stronger and stronger. Eventually, we managed to unite the two prides once more. Kiara and I got married, and I became prince. It`s actually a long story, I tell it in more detail if you click the link on the left...
Why I like Kovu/Email me!
Why I like Kovu: To me, Kovu is an interesting character. When I saw Simba`s Pride for the first time, I felt sorry for Kovu because of the situation he was in. His mother was mad with the thought of revenge, and trained Kovu for the single purpose of killing Simba and becoming king of the Pride Lands. His brother was jelaous, and saying mean things to him, and his sister was trusting blindly in Zira`s plans.
When he met, and befriended Kiara, it became obvious that he was not allowed to play, bounce about or enjoy himself. During the scene where he and Kiara was being attacked by crocodiles, Kovu showed that he is brave. He also made it clear that he can (or wants to) take care of himself, and that he does`nt like to be dependent on others.
I can`t really understand how someone like Kovu can fall in love with someone like Kiara! Kovu was raised by Zira, he has learned to hate and don`t know what "fun" is! He has to learn to take care of himself, and spend his childhood living under very tough conditions. Kiara is a princess, she is going to be queen someday, and she can`t even hunt properly! To me, Kiara seems like a spoiled airhead that is very sensitive and she is happy almost constantly, she just seems to be a silly little girl that does`nt know what life is really like. (Of course, that can be Simba`s fault, because he is so overprotective!) 
Kiara acts brave sometimes, and I do like that she`s the only lioness with a "male lion color."
Kovu is sad and angry most of the time in the movie. He is probably frustrated because he has a strong personal conflict: Should he go along with Zira`s plan, or should he turn the back on his pride and tell Kiara the truth? I believe that much of Zira`s personality has rubbed off on Kovu, he is used to people around him being angry and miserable. Maybe he thinks that that`s the way it`s supposed to be! But eventually, Kovu discovers that he has a mind of his own, and that he`s not a puppet wich Zira can control. Also, he learns, through Kiara`s cheerful mood, to enjoy life!
I love the way Kovu is animated, he is especially cute when he is a cub. As a cub, I find him very appealing. Although he acts brave, he also seems to be the kind of person you`d want to protect and cuddle with.
