So you want a pup -
Please do your research on your desired breed as every breed differs;
Once you have done your research and you have decided on the breed you want, please read this leaflet from the Kennel Club of Great Britian -

Please ensure that the breeder you contact has carried out the relevant health tests for your desired breed on the parents and sometimes the pups, for example; huskies should be hip scored and the combined results of sire and dame should be under 20 and eye tested clear for Glaucoma and cataracts, ensure that the certificates are up-to-date, eyes tests should be done annually, hips once in the life of the dog.
