Alaska (KC Name; Midnight Shadow)

Alaska came to us through the Siberian Husky Welfare Assocciation she is a lovely black n White with hazel eyes.

Alaska never had the greatest start to life, she had been mated on her first season then every season after that until her last litter was still born and her owners decided she was of no use to them any more so at the age of 3 and after 4 litters of puppies she was abandoned at a dog home in Devon, along with her mate and her son.

Terry Brent and her husband Mick picked all 3 up from the dog home and took them back to their house, they were all given baths and cleaned up to be ready for rehoming this was the start of SHWA (UK).  Alaska, Russky, Buster and another dog they took in called Simba were the very first dogs to be rehomed through husky welfare.

When Alaska came to us she was in a bit of a bad way, her coat was all tangled and fuzzy, she was however a very loving and friendly dog but would cower if you raised your voice and she always looked so sad, she didn't even know how to act like a normal dog as she had been used as a puppy factory and she didn't even know how to play with toys.

A year on and Alaska is a totally different dog she is happy, very loving, loves her cuddles and kisses and on the odd occasion you can catch her having a  mad half hour or playing with a toy or teddy.

Her coat has improved 10 fold and she looks healthy.

Alaska is a joy to have around as she loves nothing more than to cuddle up beside you and  sleep
