This is my first buck.  A ND Smoke Pearl buck named: Lolly's Santiago. A BIG Thank You to Jessica Miller from Wills Mountain Rabbitry for giving me the opportunity to purchase the adorable buck from her at the Hamburg show in March "08".

About Netherland Dwarf Bunnies 

They are a small rabbit that is great for showing or pets.  It is one of the Easter favorites, that has a good temprament.  They average from 2-3lbs and have an average life span of 7-10 years.  They reach their sexual maturity at about 24 weeks of age.  The average litter is between 2-4 kits.  Weanings of the kits is generally around 7 weeks of age.  A Netherland Dwarfs average food consumption is 2-4 ounces depending on weather. There are many colors and color patterns. 

They are seperated into five main groups:

Self- Black, Blue, Chocolate, Lilac, REW, and BEW. 

Shaded- Sable Point, Siamese Sable, Siamese Smoke Pearl, Seal, & Torts.

Agouti- Chestnut, Chinchilla, Choc. Chinchilla, Lynx, Opal, & Squirrel. 

Tan- Martens, Opal, & Otters(Black, Blue, Lilac, & Chocolate) 

All Other Varieties (AOV)- Himilayan, Fawn, Orange, Steel, & any broken variety.

Rabbits enjoy a variety of treats, but only in small amounts.  These include:  Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Grapes, Cherries(no pits), Apples and Pears(no seeds), Tomatoes, Potatoe Peels, Sweet Clover, and Dandelion Greens.
