July RWH Baby Bundle Program --

August - Remembrance Month -- 119 Members knitted 602 items in memory of lost loved ones -- 36 blankets and 1 dog coat were donated to Canberra RSPCA,  2 pouches and 2 birds nests were donated to Native Animals Trust Fund,  513 items were donated Hutt St Centre in Adelaide and 11 to Nunga Mi (that were too femine for the boys at Hutt St) --  504 beanies and 20 other items - fingerless gloves and scarves. 33 healing caps and 4 scarves were shared between Epworth Oncology, Ringwood Private Hospital and the Austin in Heidelberg.

July Operation Christmas Child http://www.samaritanspurse.org.au/ - 54 Members donated 710 items  (a huge variety of items)

July Hutt Street Centre - 348 items were donated by 41 members -- we gave 250 items to Hutt St but because some were not suitable for them (they are a Male shelter) gave the remaining 98 items to a Refugee centre and a Womens shelter in Adelaide. Included were beanies, scarves, rugs, and womens and childrens clothing.

August Peter McCallum Cancer Unit - 421 items donated by 30 Members -- Chemo caps, beanies, turbans.

August Wildlife Rescue Victoria - 252 items donated by 27 members -- 90 nests, 81 pouch liners and 81 possum pouches.

September Hope Bears - 26 members donated 90 bears.

September Busy Hands Warm Hearts - 34 members donated 279 items - a huge variety of items including toys, baby, child and adult garments.

October MaryMead Child and Family Centre - 44 members donated 522 items -- a huge variety of garments and toys.

November Royal Childrens Hospital Melbourne - 25 members donated 98 items - 61 Monster puppet socks, 31 blankets and 6 assorted toys.

December Broken Hill Community - 54 members donated 523 items - these items were shared between the Ambulance, Police and Fire Brigade services (toys), the RSPCA (animal rugs, coats and toys), the Hospital Oncology unit (Chemo headwear), Palliative Care Unit (rugs, cushions, shawls), Maternity Unit (Baby rugs, jackets, hats, booties), the Childrens Unit (monster puppet socks and finger puppets) and Maari Ma Aboriginal Health Service (toys, childrens clothing, adults clothing)

JANUARY Streetswags -- 11 members made 63 squares for a rug that was auctioned to raise funds

JUNE  RECON http://%20www.vicyouth.com/RECON -- 17 Members donated a total of 83 items which were added to food parcels and given out to the homeless.

SEPTEMBER  Wee Care in NSW http://members.ozemail.com.au/~tfyb/ --  This was our first Charity of the Month members took part in making Bonnets, Hats, Bootees and Pilchers for premmie babies. A total of 97 garments were made and donated by 14 members.

OCTOBER  City Mission in Tasmania http://www.citymission.org.au/pages/volunteer.html --  Beanies for the homeless.  101 warmer heads with compliments from 20 members.

NOVEMBER  Knitted With Love.  Animal rugs.  So far we have received 33 squares and 2 metres of polar fleece from 5 members.

DECEMBER05/JANUARY06  Squares for our StreetSwags raffle Rug. 11 Members made a total of 63 squares, the rug covers a double bed.  The rug was raffled at the StreetSwags Annual Fundraising Ball and raised just under $1000 which will help with costs of making the swags(sleepingbags) that are given to the homeless in Brisbane.
