Thor Operating System
Thor is a unique operating system that is fully functional, with a working desktop and many useful applications. Using Thor, you can: quickly connect to the Internet, allow you to install devices without drivers, allow you to type a document without annoyances, edit images with powerful tools, and entertain the user with a variety of fun games.  Thor OS 2.0 even includes an iPod sync application to manage your digital music.

Thor is a user-friendly operating system that is free of viruses, spyware, bugs, and other types of hassles that you currently experience with your Windows or Macintosh computer.  Thor also sports a luscious user interface, codenamed Mercury that covers all Thor applications.  Best of all, it has tight integration between software and hardware, instead of a generic operating system crammed into a generic PC.

Requirements for smooth sailing: PC Hardware

• Pentium III processor running at 650MHz
• 4MB video memory
• 128MB RAM memory
• 8X CD-ROM drive
• Ability to write or store high volumes of data to some sort of external drive or removable media
• 2.5GB free disk space (more disk space will be needed as you store more files)

Requirements for smooth sailing: Macintosh Hardware

• G3 or better PowerPC computer
• Ability to write or store high volumes of data to some sort of external drive or removable media
• 2.5GB free disk space (more disk space will be needed as you store more files)

Minimum system requirements: General

• Ability to write or store high volumes of data to some sort of external drive or removable media
• 700MB free disk space (more disk space will be needed as you store more files)
• 300MHz processor
• 64MB RAM memory
• 4MB video memory

A note on downloading the Thor OS:  Download is only 655KB, but after decompression, the file inflates to 650MB.  This is done for both portability and bandwidth reasons.  This is very cool, because you can transfer Thor on a floppy disk, USB flash drive, and other portable devices.

Then burn the ISO file to a blank CD.

Installation

1. After downloading, burn the file containing Thor onto a CD.
2. Restart your computer with the CD containing Thor inserted in the CD drive.

All independent files will be organized neatly into the Backup folder on your new Thor desktop.

Uninstallation

If you are in any way dissatisfied with the Thor OS, you can uninstall it at any time by accessing the Switchboard.  Under the Switchboard, select System, then Uninstall.  If you wish to keep files, settings, or applications, select Keep My Data.  Click the Remove Thor button, and type your password.  The system will then shut down.  During shutdown, the Thor operating system will be removed.

You can receive additional components and applications for Thor within the Update manager.  You will have a detailed tutorial of this system application when you install Thor.
