Knights of the Stone

Pagan Heralds & Mystic Knights Proudly serving our communities!

A Little about Us.

The Temple of Stone, the la tain Fal, Stone of Truth;
We are members of various pagan traditions and organizations who come together to study not only the histories and cultures of our ancestors, but in the servitude of clergy and in the functions of squire and maiden of our sacred sites and organizations

We are here to help research and teach, as well as learn, from each other in the practice of ritual etiquette and traditional rites. The founding members, each listed with their background information and contact details, have served as squires and maidens in numerous traditions and open circles at festivals. Not sure what a squire or maiden is in circle, no worries, we'll explain that as well. We have a combined experiance of over 20 years practice and training in many traditions and customs

Words We Live By

Triads of the Knights

Three things that make a warrior;

Truth to oneself,

Courage in all things,

Honor above all.

What is best for Nobility;

Speech without lies,

Friends without want,

a heart without hate.

Three ways to win your battles;

By truth of your words,

By honor in your actions,

By holding to peace.

Three strengths to a warrior;

The Stone of Truth,

The sword arm of Peace,

Courage of the Heart.

Three things to respect;

Youth in its honesty,

Age in its wisdom,

Acts of nobility.

Three things to avoid;

Slothfulness in your days,

Excuses for your duties,

                                 Closing your heart to others.

What are the Knights of the Stone?A very brief discription

The knights are pagan members of various traditions and paths who have come together to form a study group in the servitude and guardianship of the pagan temples, sacred spaces, clergy, and community freedoms.

We study in areas of:
    historical armed combat - traditional Knight (warrior) training
    cultural laws and customs
    chivalry
    pagan religious and traditional customs
    civil laws - USA
    continual education in psychology, sociology, philosophy, and metaphysics

    Our goals include; continual education information for our pagan clergy, dissemination of information for the pagan and cowen alike on paganism, continual community communication, providing aide  in education of paganism, serving our pagan community in proper ritual etiquette, and ensuring longevity in our religious beliefs and freedoms.
    Although active in religo-political issues, we do not support any political or religious side or faction as a group, rather we discuss and inform pagans of political issues that will affect their freedoms.
    WE BELIVE IN SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!

    There are many grades and levels of Knight participation.
Pagan Herald - those who promote information and education of paganism from         classes and workshops to festival events and open circles.
Fiel-man (literally oath bound) - pagans in clergy training classes or licensed clergy who are dedicated to the continual education of clergy and pagan groups
Maiden/Squire - those who have decided on studying the courses of our           knighthood training and serve their patron deity and priesthood           in circle or ritual, dedicated to the service of their community           as advocate and herald
Knight Oath Sworn -  Pagan licensed clergy and desiccants to their patron           deity and priesthood who have completed their training and are           public heralds to and their
      community(s) and help in continual education programs.

    The Knights operate a round table Peers Council where all sit with equality in station and voice to hold discussions and share in events planning, issues of pagan concerns and generally share experiences.

The Knights of the Stone Oath

Knights of the Stone

Triad of Law

As a guardian I shall protect the land of my peoples and my tradition, defend from harm my temples and keep safe all within;

I shall yield always to mercy yet I shall tolorate no harm nor evil.

As a warrior I shall train honestly with my fellows in body and spirit;

To overcome my limits in strength, agility, and cunning;

To gain the skills nessasary for my station;

To refine my talents and abilities untill honed to their utmost;

And shall apply these skills to their fullest only when all other options are exhausted.

As a servant I shall serve my peoples, my fellows and my temple;

To seek out and serve the truths and the right in all conflicts;

To avoid slothfulness and deeds evil and law breaking;

To conduct myself humbly in serving hospitality to all;

To give freely of compassion, and courteously of assistance.

This is the Triad of Law that I swear to serve, guard and protect until my life itself is exhausted.

Wild Song, Anuna

Knights of the StoneMember bios and contact info

    The Knights of the Stone was c concept derived by a hand full of pagans in the mid-south area back in 2001. We all contributed in many ways and still practice what we say to this day. Our numbers might not be enormous, however our contacts and experiance allows for us to continue to grow, online as well as within our traditions. The Temple of the Stone is not a coven, grove nor church. Rather it is our collection of information, our meeting hall, our 'school of thought' and a place open for discussion without embaresment nor persecution.

Members who are 'Oath Sworn Knights'
Oath sworn means dedicated clergy as well as those who have taken our Knights Oath.
