# 57 Cameron Knell I started racing quarter midgets at the age of five and a half with ALQMA in the Junior Novice class of The Quarter Midgets of America. I then moved up to the Jr. Honda class at the age of six and a half, and later that year added the Jr. Super Stock class to my repertoire. When I turned eight, I added the Light 160 class, making my race days quite busy, but I sure get a ton of seat time. I also was able to race with kids from the age of six in the Jr. classes, to sixteen in the Light 160 class. I feel this has really honed my driving skills. On October 18th 2005 I turned nine, and for the 2006 season I have started running Sr. Super Stock, and the fastest competitive class in quarter midgets, the Light B class. QMA has now made changes to the weights in the hvy B class forcing us to run in the Heavy B class instead of the light B class for 2006. In 2007 I moved up to 600 Micro Sprint. In my first season with the 600 micro, I found my way to the winners circle 10 times. The season was a real nail biter, I finished out the season strong moving up to third place in points out of 28 cars. I had the most points of any first year driver within the 600 micro sprint classes, making me rookie of the year for 2007. The end of august 2008 I switched to the new Runaway Chassis, this is truely the best chassis money can buy! As of september of 2008 I have more than 250 top three finishes, with more than 100 of those finishes being 1st place finishes. Six of these wins were in the new Runaway Chassis, in the first five race weeks running it. The last points race I was locked in second place so I decided it was time to move up to the big time and what harder class is there to drive NON WING!!!! My first week out I placed second in first heat, second in the second heat, and I won the A-Main. Not bad for the first time running Non Wing. the second week out I won the first heat and won the A-Main ! We are off to a great start in non wing. Two A-Main starts with Two A-Main wins. Please check out the rest of my site. There are plenty of pictures, and links to other drivers and sites. |
