A Brief History
Kings Morris Dancing Organisation was formed towards the end of 2001 by Tom and Dot King.
Our aim was to provide a happy, friendly organisation for the many morris dancing troupes who were looking for somewhere different to dance.
We had run a troupe of our own "Didsbury Dynamos" which had disbanded but felt that we wanted to carry on giving something to the morris dancing world.
We started with a handful of troupes but early the following year our name had spread and quite a few more teams joined.
Our first championships were held in 2002 at Prestatyn and we have returned each Autumn since.
