Scout Badge Swapping

King Dinizulu Woodbeads Necklace

King Dinizulu Woodbeads Necklace

Everyone knows the origin of the wood badge. The lucky ones may have

seen the original wood beads from  pictures found in the internet

or probably the real ones from the Gilwell archive.

I am lucky in my own way because I have been able to pick up a

woodbeads necklace though not as long as the one worn by

King Dinizulu. Nevertheless my woodbeads necklace measures almost

four feet long with 131 pieces of beads. It was a long wait for me as

the craftsman really took his time to pass it over to me. Every single

bead is beautifully crafted and it is slightly smaller than the Gilwells

beads but bigger than those african beads available for sale on the

internet. At the end of the necklace there are 2 bigger beads .

These 2 beads are bigger than the usual size beads we wear as woodbadge.

Anyway, i am sharing the picture with you as the picture will do the talking.
