Seiyuu:
Takano Naoko
At first, Kaoru was very confident of her abilities, thinking that she was so strong that nobody can beat her. She believed that people shouldn't waste their time in trying to beat something that was unbeatable; that they shouldn't hope for something that was hard to get.
Kaoru was asked by AEGIS to help them in saving the world from Invaders, but she said that such alien beings do not exist. For her, unrealistic stories are just dreams. She rejected their offer, but still she went to the AEGIS base to test her gate power.
One time on her way home, Kaoru encountered real Invaders. She fought hard to beat them, as well did Shun and the others. After the fight, Shun praised Kaoru for trying hard. Kaoru was touched because it was the first time that someone praised her for her work. Since then, she joined AEGIS and joined in a new competition; a competition that does not concern physical abilities: a competition with Ruriko for Shun's heart.
Description:
Kaoru is the strongest of the gate-keepers, so strong that she can beat the Invaders without using any weapons. Her childhood dream is to be an athlete. She is loud, cheerful and jolly, yet she is also a determined and hard-working person. She admires Shun and works hard to win his heart. She cooked lunch for him and made a scarf for him, and it's obvious that she'll do other things just for him. She ignored all the bruises and time she spent to make gifts for him. She is also kind, and she devotes herself to fighting the Invaders, saving the world, and most especially, making Shun happy.
