She finds John but he doesn't want to know, he's been hurt once by her so he's not going to let it happen again. As Sam apologises, seeing her there so hurt, he can't help but forgive her.
The end: the divide that still exists between them will always be there because they have both been hurt by each other.

Summary:

Background Story:
John and Vala were once lovers, but lies and deceit torn them apart. They went through everything together, the good and the bad. Soon Vala and John realise that working together and having a relationship is not going to work, not with the constant threat of death. So they decide to keep the relationship professional. However after a solo mission Vala is kidnapped and John feels responsible. He keeps looking for her and won't give in til he finds her.

Storyline:
This picks up with John seeing Vala for the first time since she has been found. He can't believe his eyes, he thought he would never she her again. And seeing that face, those eyes again brings back the memories of they time together, the love, the pain and the lose.
