The go-kart (some may call it a buggy) that I will be making is a go-kart named the Trax 2 made by The Edge Products in Australia. I have not made any decisions as to what engine I will be using, maybe a 250cc motorcycle motor a 125cc being the least, but I will definatly NOT be painting it purple and green. :) I might cover it with aluminum, I'm undecided yet.

My reason for doing this is, I have always wanted to build something, from my bare hands, that I'd be able to have some fun in. As I got more interested in cars and such, I wanted an automobile and I wanted to build something, until one day I said "I don't want to spend these school holidays on the computer or on my PS2, I want to build something." I searched the internet looking for websites like this one, about people's go-kart builds. I came across a few good ones and a few bad ones. But The Edge stood out from the rest. As my dad slowly got interested in it himself, he started looking around for second-hand welders. He came across a friend of his who was selling a MIG welder, the price? NZ$150. Sold. I told my dad about The Edge, and showed him the website and the Trax 2. He agreed with me that the Trax 2 was exactly what we wanted, and so we ordered the plans.
