well met

So, it took the encouragement of a number of people [and a sudden liking for messing around with HTML and CSS and general layout making that exceeded the needs of my own homepage], but I finally got my backside into gear and set up a layouts site [oh yeah, I'm THE master of stating the obvious]. I'm hoping that I'll provide some nice and simple layouts for people to use, and that people like them as much as I've enjoyed making them =]
As a forewarning, layouts will generally be optimized for a resolution of 1024x768 and IE, simply because it's what my own computer is set up with. Most of these layouts will be div-based, and most of them will be geared towards Quizilla users [as in they'll have a section dedicated to writers/friends where it's username-based].

news and updates

Very briefly: Yes, it's been a while since I've done any updating anywhere. Why, you might ask? My computer has been giving me hell. I've finally figured out the problem, and I managed to save all my data [thank God *wipes brow*], despite all the stupid things it was doing and all the fragmentation that keeps occurring for no apparent reason [even when the comp's off, grr]. So yes, apologies to people still waiting on personalized layouts, and to those people who've been wanting me to make a few more general layouts, at the moment I'm more concerned with getting my computer working again *sigh* Hopefully it'll be up and running properly sometime tonight, once I've replaced the part I think is the problem, and then I'll get my backside into gear with some new stuff for you.
Oh, and the video below just proves that law students at UQ have waaaaaay too much time on their hands. However, they're pretty accurate when it comes to the engineers, hehe.

rules for layout use

As you might expect there are certain rules you should follow if you're wanting to use one of my layouts. By clicking "I Agree", you've legally committed yourself to following these rules, and by breaking one you're breaking the law [namely those of copyright, if you look over the rules].

  1. You will leave the credits in place, and if using a layout for Quizilla you'll also leave the link to my Quizilla homepage.
  2. Tying in to the previous rule, please don't take credit for anything on the page that's not made by you [usually coding and images], because I've put a fair bit of effort into making these up for your use.
  3. You agree that you have some prior knowledge of HTML, as I don't have the time to guide you through every step of customizing the layouts yourself [unless of course I know and wubbus you muchly].
  4. I don't have anything against you making changes to the code, as long as you don't remove the credits.
  5. If you do alter the code and something goes wrong, I'm sorry but you'll just have to figure it out yourself; as I said before, I don't have the time to walk you through the customization process.
  6. In order to keep track of who's using what, leave a comment in the C-box with your username and/or URL of your website with the name of the layout you're using. Actually, any comment would be nice, even if you're not using a layout =3
