Blurb:
A Walden woman heads to the attic to revive an ancient ritual, which
has been handed down from generation to generation. With the aid
of an old trunk, containing some ancient props consisting of a lovely antebellum ball gown and a Confederate uniform, she summons the
main participants, her long deceased great great grandparents.
And the ritual of The Attic Ball begins.

EXCERPT:
She turned from me to walk to the small window where she could peer outside while she waited for him. I turned my attention to the trunk once again and reached in to pull out a heavy grey Confederate uniform. It was all I could do to hold that heavy thing out at arms length while I waited for him to step into it. Thankfully, I never had long to wait. The uniform came to life and I always felt pride when I looked at it, remembering my southern heritage.
As always, a grey-gloved hand immediately reached for the long sword, which hung at his side, patting it, reassuring himself that
it was where it should be, ever at his side. Once that ritual was completed, he gave me a slight nod of his head. Then he was turning away from me, his eyes searching for her, always searching for her. She sensed his presence then and turned. From where I stood, I could see her eyes, those vibrant blue green eyes that reminded me
of a Caribbean sea. When she saw him, those aqua eyes positively sparkled.
