UTAH KISSATA CIDG
Kissata "The K.I.S.S. Anti-Terrorist Alliance"
A Civilian Irregular Defense Group, or CIDG.
Homeland defense for the modern citizen soldier.
Utah KISSATA CIDG Charter
It is our duty as Americans to protect our lives, liberty, and property, defending ourselves, and our families from any attack, whether the enemy is without or within our communities. We accept this responsibility willingly, despite the motivation and actions of others, whether tyrants, violent fringe groups, or other criminals; and under any condition, circumstance, or clime. To meet such ends, we are committed to improve ourselves through training and to share our skills with others.
We are dedicated to defending ourselves and developing our minds, bodies, and spirits in preserving liberty. However, we do not tolerate nor advocate criminal violence, terrorism, racism, or a change from our republican form of government. Nor will we tolerate the aforementioned ideals in any member, or potential member. We are an inclusive organization and do not affiliate with any racially motivated groups, militias, or individuals. We will not and cannot endorse nor support any specific political party or individual candidate, nor will we espouse any particular religious denomination or doctrine. Furthermore, we will include members of any race, religion, or creed that does not seek to harm our Republic or the liberties upon which it stands. Because we know they are our neighbors, we welcome local members of the military and law enforcement communities to participate in our activities, musters, and training exercises, and to become active members of irregular civil defense units.
While we strive for the equality of all humanity and believe fully in the unalienable rights secured by the Constitution, it is of note that we are, and must forever remain, a nonpolitical organization, standing only against those philosophies, and their proponents, that seek to destroy our way of life and suppress our liberty. We respect the rights and beliefs of the individual, but ask members not to express such views at any gathering or meeting in order to maintain the integrity and solidarity of the group. Similarly, please do not proselytize at any gathering, exercise, or function. Americans have strong political and religious beliefs, but we should not give any offense by discussing religion or politics at any unit muster, exercise, meeting, or event. Our duty is to train, and to train our neighbors, to prepare for terrorist attack, and to support our families and neighborhoods in the aftermath of any disaster.
There is no formal leadership in KISSATA; and, since we are a KISSATA-based organization, we have neither rank structure nor hierarchy, neither leaders nor followers, except on patrols. This is important, because history shows that organizations with strong and charismatic leaders lend to fall into inactivity and disorganization when said leader leaves the organization. There is also the possibility of power struggles when one claims authority over another. Instead, we are all equal; and, each will have opportunity to develop skills at both leadership and following as he or she patrols. Each will have to organize, plan, and lead a patrol, in focus with our primary mission. There will also be ample opportunity to share information and acquired skills peripheral to our mission of patrolling and intelligence gathering, including, but not limited to: marksmanship, orienteering and land navigation, survival skills, first aid, and report writing in addition to patrol tactics, camouflage, hand signals, and proper radio use.
Our mission is to gather intelligence, reconnoiter, and develop the areas surrounding our neighborhoods, while particularly looking for terrorist activity, or evidence of such. In doing this, we exercise patrol tactics, noise discipline, and proper camouflage. The information we gather could be a benefit to law enforcement personnel, should there be an actual attack or terrorist training camp. We encourage all members to acquire copies of the KISSATA manual, and be familiar with its message.

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms has been recognized by the General Government; but the best security of that right after all is, the military spirit, that taste for martial exercises, which has always distinguished the free citizens of these States … Such men form the best barrier to the liberties of America."
