Respondek Rail Corp.

Respondek is a shortline operater that operates several rail operations in the US. The Operation in Granite City, IL is one of the Smaller operations. Respondek switches the former Melvin Price Military Base in Granite City, IL that houses several business that ship by rail. Other than switching the business, Respondek also repairs cars for private owners, and also stores cars. At present, there are a bunch of former Metra and Amtrak Bi-Level cars owned by ITAX stored on the base. The Granite City operation uses former Missouri Central/Central Midland GP8 #1800, a GP7 and a SW1500. All units besides the 1800 is painted in a version of the Illinois Terminals final freight scheme.
