Kiowacreek Toggenburgs

Thank you for visiting Kiowacreek Toggs!!

We've had all the dairy breeds, with the exception of Nigerians and Sables,
at one time or another for nearly 28 years (the Toggs for almost 25 of those). We still have a continuing admiration of the breed.  This began when Poco-Pas Fanta-C Facade was gifted to our daughter Sarah in 1984. Maintaining a small herd in the South West corner of Nebraska,
we decided to pare the herd down to consist of 10 Purebred animals; 7 does, 3 bucks and 1 American doe for a total of 11. We choose these as they all have Champions, Grand Champions, Superior Genetics, or higher Linear Appraisal scores, in the foreground and throughout their pedigree. **In our opinion we kept our very best, our elite.**

We at Kiowacreek try to give our animals a healthy life by starting the
kids out on heat-treated colostrum or a goat colostrum replacer, then onto
pasteurized goat milk through to weaning time.  Alfalfa hay is fed
basically free choice from around 2 weeks of age along with Maxi-Min
Caprine minerals available.  We try to implement the use of LESS harsh
chemicals at all stages in their life by choosing to use a MORE natural
method of care in our herd management.  We also have more of a "grass-fed" mind set, some 16%-18% grain is fed, however, it is not over-fed.

We have a long term goal to breed and raise correct, strong, healthy, and productive animals.  Whether you are in the market for a doe to supply milk for the family homestead, commercial dairy or you're looking to add to your show string, we'd like to provide you with a quality animal at a fair and reasonable price.  Please take a look and see if we can accommodate you in your needs.

***We take deposits as a measure of good faith that you, the buyer, are
serious about purchasing an animal from us.  We ask a $50.00 deposit for each animal you wish to reserve; NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE and DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. (Revision November 2009)  Feel free to contact us via e-mail or phone to be added to our list for future animals. We'd be happy to pencil you in, be sure to check the status of 2010 kids born on our Sale Barn page.  HOWEVER, note that animals in which deposits are received WILL take precedence!!
You are responsable for arranging transportation and of ALL COST incurred in the animal or animals purchased from us, including but not limited to ...ground shipment, air freight, health certificates, any testing, proper sized crate. ***
