19th September 2008 [Kioku1: remembrance]

Welcome to Kioku Memories! This is the first ever rotation. It is still pretty plain, since I am new to html and making layouts (colourful much?). I know it's kinda a bit messy, with everything being on one page. I'll add more pages when the next rotation comes around. Please leave a comment in the chatbox.

Anyway this website is a mp3 rotation... so here are the songs.

Title: Ling
Artist: Alan Ke
Comments: The opening song of the drama "Mars". I was really obsessed with this song for a while. It sounds really emotional, and throughout the whole song, the guy sounds like he is sad/crying. I thought it was just for effect (but my friend says all his songs sound like that). There is a cantonese version of this song... but the version I had was dodgy and sounded bad so I deleted it.

Title: Yi Sheng Jie Wang
Artist: Hong Jungyang
Comments: This is a mandarin rap song. I don't generally like raps, but this is an exception. This song is from the movie "I Not Stupid Too" which is one of the awesomes, funniest and saddest movies I have seen. The song is played during a scene where the teenagers begin to rebel and the lyrics suit it so well. The singer has a nice voice, and well...it's not really typical rap either. Hard to explain but this song is really good. I <3 it.

Title: Zhu Fu
Artist: Jackie Cheong
Comments: I'm starting to think that all of Jackie Cheong's songs are like uber pro. This is one of my favourites. The other is like.. almost as old as me (I first heard it on CASSETTE). Anyways this song is just beautiful. I think Jackie sung this song for the earthquake appeal cause I remember walking past the tv and he was singing it. The song is simple, but the melody is nice and the voice is just beautiful.

Title: Listen to the Happiness
Artist: JJ Lin and Rynn Lim
Comments: I LOVE this song so much! It's a duet between JJ Lin and Rynn Lim (two of my favs!). The music is the same as track 2 of Rynn's newer album "Working World" but I prefer this song HEAPS more. The melody is just so catchy. I recommend this! I had this song for repeat for days~

Title: Kioku no Kakera
Artist: Nobuko
Comments: Haha I chose this song because it has the word "kioku" in it. But apart from that, it is a really nice ballad. The singer has a simple nice voice that suits the song. I like the chorus since it shifts from a soft ballad to well... it has more volume. I think the title means something like... dreams of the future or was it fragmented dreams. I don't remember what kakera means lol. I'm pretty sure its the second one.

Title: Kioku Umi
Artist: Yozuca
Comments: The ending theme of School Days. The beginning starts off with pretty song piano chords/notes?. The song is well... okay enough on the ears to listen to. I prefer the chorus since it's more upbeat so it's worth waiting for that. Not much else to comment on this song.

Title: Thanks for the Memories
Artist: Fall Out Boys
Comments: Any guesses on why I chose this song? Well apart from the fact it has memories in its name, it's so catchy! I first heard this song on some television AFL, soccer or was it football (ah who cares) commercial and had it stuck in my head. So I just had to have it. Now generally I don't like english songs, but this is one of the few exceptions.

Comments: Now who hasn't heard of this song? This is another song that I heard on televsion before I hunted it down. It was stuck in my head for a WHOLE day and I only remembered like one part of the melody. Anyways what you waiting for. Download it!

Title: Delete
Artist: Younha
Comments: Younha has some of the best songs. This is from her first korean album. It took me forever to realize she was singing "I delete my mind" in the chorus. Now this is a very catchy upbeat song. It's one of my favourites. I don't think Younha has any bad songs (cept for that english one >.>)

Title: Last Farewell
Artist: Big Bang
Comments: This isn't really one of my favourite songs by Big Bang. I prefer another one, but I wanted something to reflect my layout. (vain aren't I lol, I already have a couple songs for that) But it isn't horrible to listen to. Download if you want to.
