Inspired by the diverse range of colours, textures patterns and forms found in the animal world Robyn Kinsman-Blake creates unique pieces of jewellery and silverware.
First sketching and painting the animals from life, she develops her designs by looking at how these can be abstracted and translated into silver and wood, utilizing an appreciation of the materials and an enjoyment of more traditionally silversmithing techniques to combine the warmth and individuality of wood with the fluidity of silver to form tactile, sculptural pieces with strong visual presence.
