KING COBRA
With Eindhoven as their home town the band
features Uby on the guitar, Jaring on vocals,
Lidewij on harp, Peter van Geel on drums and
Little Boy on the upright bass.
Right after their first get-together in May '99, it soon became clear that
KING COBRA had the potential to become more than just another average blues band in the region.
Soon the band got pretty well known in the Dutch bluesscene and has shown its teeth on several occasions ever since.
KING COBRA offers a perfect blend of
Westcoast -and Chicagoblues.
Adding the band's extreme high energy level will assure you a night of pure high energy blues'.
Jaring's deep raw voice and Lidewij's sensitive yet intense harp virtuosity
create a suspense in collaboration with Uby' s explosive and subtle guitar play that has the audience poise on the edge of their stools. Some even get on their feet!
The already legendary driving force of the band is manned by
Peter van Geel and Little Boy who'll take you on a ride through bluesland as no other. Jump on that bluestrain!
Over the past years, KING COBRA has attended to many gigs in bars, associations, at motorcycle clubs and on festivals. Here it is striking that the band is often asked to return in order to do another show, a good sign according to us.
A night with KING COBRA consists mainly of original material, inspired by T-bone Walker, Elmore James, Lester Butler, Junior Walker and James Harman to name a few.
Their steaming shuffles and dynamic slowblues have resulted in a solid live-reputation for the band.
So, not just another regional bluesband but a full-grown stage act with a varied repertoire.
