CHRISTIAN KIMO TUYAY

Welcome to the site!

Welcome to the site, this is the most comprehensive resource for University of Hawaii Champion setter, Kimo Tuyay. This site is dedicated to supporting and promoting the career of the Filipino-Hawaiian volleyball player. You will find the latest news posted at the home page and picture archives at the photo gallery section. Do not forget to post up in the guestbook and write your declarations to Kimo.

He’s got the athletic skills needed to chase down passes and critical thinking necessary for making decisions at a finger snap’s notice.

“…the setter is a quarterback, volleyball style.”

“…Tuyay, as the setter and a licensed Realtor, abides by the mantra of both jobs: Location, location, location.”

“…His dedication to excellence and unselfish attitude made him the perfect Setter for the National Championship team in 2002, as he was responsible for setting his teammates for success.”

“…"I like having everyone else have the glory. I don't need the big kills. I like to control the pace of our team. – Kimo “

“…He's always been good at dealing with all that goes with being a setter. He is the consummate team player, the ideal poster child for the volleyball program. He is genuinely happy for the success of others, even if they play the same position. He has the same selflessness and team spirit whether he's playing or sitting. His support never wavers. And that is very rare.– Mike Wilton”

“He is calm and intense, doesn't get frazzled. – Pualani Tuyay”

We have dual citizenship and are going to try to represent the Philippines in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing China. To do that, we have to compete on the FIVB world tour. In December, we are going to compete in the 24th SEA Games (Southeast Asian Games) in Thailand… We look forward to representing the Philippines proudly.

March 14 2007

Hey, Kimo is now playing Pro Beach Volleyball (AVP and FIVB). He and Chad Mowrey will be representing the Philippines at the Asean Games in Thailand in November. They are putting together a website: www.TeamPhi.com in order to get financial funding and sponsorships.
Thought I'd let you know, since I've been following you website since my son was playing volleyball for the University of Hawaii. I'll keep in touch with the goings on with Kimo.
