Banna Fiuit Naomh Padraig was formed in 2000.
The immediate Kilkeel area needed a Nationalist Band.
The band has faced many hurdles such as not being allowed to march in their hometown of kilkeel and constantly recieving restrictions from the parades commission.
Despite this the band has persevered and has gone from strength to strength winning numerous trophies at band competition. We are still fighting to march in kilkeel despite opposition from loyalists who state that we were formed and only exist to stir up sectarianism in Kilkeel.
We exist to fight for our basic human right to parade and celebrate our culture.
we consist of 5 flag carriers, 4 side drummers and 2 bass drummers as well as 10 fluters.
