This is a note from Bobbi's (Kilala's) dad: In the middle of March Bobbi contracted pnuemonia and was hospitalized. Due to her weakened immune system from chemotherapy, she went almost immediately to intensive care and was placed on a ventelator. Despite the greatest care, her body was not able to match her great spirit and after 6 weeks, she lost her great struggle on April 24.2007.
I will pass along any messages anyone would like to send to all of her family and may be contacted at oldhippie825@aol.com
I decided to start this site because it's hard not to censor myself when posting on sites like fanfiction.net (not to mention THEY like to censor stuff and delete accounts!) It's also easier to put up author's notes and pictures that go along with my story. If I have time later on down the road, I might also write a short story based on the life of Isidro Saez and Catalina Ynez Morales, the ill fated couple that left the cursed treasure behind.
This is a "Pirates of the Caribbean" fanfiction (not to be confused with the movie "Lost in Translation"). The plot grew more complex as I wrote, so while it starts off mostly humorous and good natured, later there is a large supernatural aura in the story.
Summary:
Jack Sparrow wins a parchment during a card game but needs to find someone capable of translating it. They happen across a young woman, Kaitlyn, that at first seems to be nothing more than a privileged girl that happens to be fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese. Though he has his questions about why she would request to travel with pirates, Jack decides to allow her to come along and agrees to safely leave her at the place of her choice, in exchange for her services translating. Soon though, Kaitlyn begins having visions of her own death while Jack is living memories that don't belong to him. The more they learn about the treasure and it's curse, the more they begin to realize that it seems to be fate, rather than coincidence, that they met. Jack also learns that sometimes the worse curse is watching someone you love suffer it for you.
Note: For some reason, all of my quotation marks are replaced with question marks in my posting. I'll try to get that all figured out and change it as soon as possible.
These are some pictures that I photoshopped for my story. The actress that I put into them is actually from the "Power Ranger" shows that my son loves to watch. lol Her name is Catherine Sutherland. I heard her talking one day (she's from Australia) and her manner of speaking, along with the accent just reminded me very much of Kaitlyn. She also looks similar to what I picture Kaitlyn looking, though much better kempt. It's hard to stay so perfect while on a ship, I'm sure.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" nor any of the likenesses in the pictures displayed.
