About Kijabe Hospital

 

AIC Kijabe Hospital is a Christian mission hospital situated one hour north-west of Nairobi, in Kenya.

The hospital currently has a 208-bed capacity. Inpatient services include general surgery and medicine (adult & paediatric), obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatology. Outpatient services include general acute illnesses and specialty clinics in diabetes, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, tuberculosis, gynaecology and AIDS. Clinical support services include X-ray, ultrasound, pharmacy, physiotherapy and clinical laboratory. The pathology department provides tissue diagnostic services to 37 mission hospitals in East Africa.

Kijabe Hospital is committed to scripturally based training in the medical professions, including nursing, dental and medical.

Expenses are covered by income from fees for service. Fees are kept low in order to serve the poor. Affordable fees are made possible by careful management of resources and through the donated services of missionaries. Overseas donor agencies provide funding for major capital works.
