Welcome to Parc Deauville, an Renaissance treasure hosting a proud collection of warmblood performance competitors and thoroughbred race horses. With pleasure, we operate out of Prima Equestrian Center. Click here to visit Prima.

The elegant Parc Deauville is the brainchild of Ophelia, member to the Riata-Online community since the summer of 2006. This mini-barn debuted in November of 2007, and was established to house a collection of beautiful warmbloods and thoroughbreds. It is the fore-runner of the future Parc Deauville private barn (anticipated break-out date is fall of 2008).
Parc Deauville is home to a selection of warmblood strains, competing in dressage, show jumping, and eventing. We also own a strong of fine English thoroughbreds; some of these animals compete on the flat, and some of them have been bred and purchased to succeed at the rigorous sport of steeplechasing.
About the geographic and cultural region of Deauville:
Deauville is a commune of the Calvados département, in the Basse-Normandie région, in France. With its racecourse, harbour, marinas, villas and sumptuous hotels, Deauville is regarded as the queen of the Norman beaches.
Home to the Deauville-La Touques Racecourse, the countryside around Deauville is the main horse breeding region in France and home to numerous stud farms.

Parc Deauville has three long term goals. 1) To promote steeplechasing in Riata. This is currently underway. As anyone can read in the forums, there is growing interest in the glorious sport of steeplechasing. The RTR is playing an active role, putting thoroughbred steeplechasers on the market for purchase and working on race cards. And I am doing my part as well. On August 17th, Parc Deauville will host the first successful steeplechase Riata has seen in a long time.
2) In keeping with the French theme of this stable, Parc Deauville is working very hard on training up Selle Francais stallion Salut, and our newest creation, the Hedoniste. Very soon, Salut will have enough show experience to be considered a marketable stud. I intend to promote the Selle Francais breed in Riata.
3) I love dressage and so do my warmbloods. When the RTR has established regular steeplechase meets, Parc Deauville will have the time and resources needed to host regular dressage competitions. This idea first deputed with Dressage in the Parc on July 20th, 2008. I would to host this dressage competions every season and increase the prize money to make to make this event for prestigious. |
