KHICCS Plan

The proposed plan (which will be based on the size of the acquired tract) for an "integrated community system" is composed of several intertwined parts. The first part is the LIVING COMMUNITY, consisting of 85-150 ten acre single family residential lots, four to eight 8 unit multi-family buildings, a Community Gathering/Educational Center, Farmer's Market, B&B/Tavern, Reiki Massage Therapy, Crisis Counselling, camping and picnic areas, meditation gardens, a variety of agricultural projects utilizing multi-use plant and animal species and more. Email kinhav4u@care2.com for more details.

The second component is RESANCTIFIED LAND; a large number of acres in and around the living community consecrated and utilized for ceremonial and educational events, and hiking as well as permanently undeveloped land. Email kinhav4u@care2.com for more details.

The third component would be a smaller number of acres for SALES to recoup initial costs. Email kinhav4u@care2.com for more details.

The Search for Suitable Tracts of Land

KHICCS has been searching for a suitable tract of land on which to establish our Community Land Trust and implement our programs. We have discovered several areas of great interest-Southwestern VA and Middle TN-due to the proximity to small towns,a large city, and several tourist attractions.

Kindred Haven Integrated Community Care System is especially interested in large properties for a very reasonable price per acre. Suitable tracts would be 15-30 minutes from a growing economic area, [i.e. medium-sized town], within 2 hours driving time of at least one larger city and several tourist attractions such as golf courses, race tracks, and historic sites. It is important that the area we choose be condusive to intentional community, attractive to local Native Americans, and already have in place community support with which KHICCS will be able to interact. Keeping these factors in mind should make the tract we finally obtain, an ideal location for resident commuters, locals, tourists, and business travellers alike.

We are looking into several such sites.
