About Keyston Marion Youth Center

Nestled in the southern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Keystone Marion is a private residential treatment center for at-risk boys, ages 11-17. Treatment is centered on each boy’s individual service plan, with a focus on tackling serious mental health and behavioral issues and developing and reinforcing pro-social behaviors. Keystone Marion provides a holistic treatment approach, one that involves the child, family, community, teachers and social workers. If a child requires psychiatric help, those services are available on the Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute campus. Those resources also allow for more effective after-care services when the child transitions back into the community.

The 24,000-square-foot treatment center is located on the beautiful wooded campus of the Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute. Keystone Marion is a CARF-accredited facility, with a staff of 100 and a maximum student population of 48. The treatment center also has a dining facility, recreational facilities, and outdoor play area and group and personal areas.

Keystone Education and Youth Services, a national leader in the field of education, treatment, and juvenile justice for troubled youth, operates the treatment center, which opened in September 2004.

Finding hope for children considered hopeless by others is what we do every day. At Marion Youth Center, kids come first, and we see hope in every child.
