kevs tropical fish house

This site is all about tropical fish keeping. I have been keeping and breeding tropical fish for around 15 years and have kept and bred a large variety of fish. I have built this site to pass on the knowledge that i have gained during my time in the hobby.

I hope you will find this site informative, interesting and helpful. The site contains infomation and pictures on a large variety of fish from small comunity fish, larger community fish, large aggresive/predatory fish, and oddball fish. I hope there will be something here for everybody.

 If you are experienced in the hobby then i dont need to tell you just how fascinating and addictive it is,And if you are new to the hobby or thinking of starting it up as a hobby then you will soon find out! As there is such a large variety of different fish and you can only fit so many in one aquarium and because not all fish will live happily together you will probably soon find yourself setting up another aquarium or 2 or 3? at one time i had 6 different tanks ranging from a 4' foot up to a 7'foot L shaped tank and if i had the space "and money"(never really had alot of that!) i would have had even more. Maybe i just have an addictive personality?

I could talk for hours about how interesting and fascinating the hobby is and give a hundred reasons to take up the hobby but my wife just doesn't get it and i suppose it cant be for everyone and i expect that some people would even class me as an anorak or just plain boring ? But then i dont like cross stitch or knitting but each to their own! And if you think i'm a bit wierd or boring then what are you even doing on this site and why are you still reading??

I guess i have made the point of how passionate i am with the hobby and if you are still reading ? then so have you!

So explore my site and i hope you will learn something new or better your knowledge. The infomation i give is my personal experience so i hope what works for me will work for you. There are always more than one way of doing things and you may find your own techniques that work well, after all fish do have personallities of their own despite what some people may think and what works for one may not work for another.
