OK ! so we have had a few months off, due to ill health, but the Soul Academy is back at Stafford Rangers FC this month (5/7/08)
Things are looking up, inrespect of music wise as we now have two outstanding DJ's from the West Midlands namely, Helan and Martin AKA Jellybean and Kirby playng an abundance of 'oldies' for the crowd and do a very good job.

Just a few thing thats happened over the last few months..... Firstly, the 3Bs are now called THE SOUL ACADEMY.... secondly, my long time founder member has moved to pastures new, John Fisher is now now longer involved with the Stafford Rangers Soul nights. This was a deccisiont that John pondered with for some time, I wish him all the best in what he is doing now............................................ Well thanks for looking at my attempt for a web site, let me introduce myself to all you soulies, my nickname is ''Shute'' originanlly from Stoke-on-Trent but now reside in Stafford, real name Kevin Johnston.
Having been on the Northern Soul Sceen for a number of years (since1973) and started DJaying at the local youth club prior to my twylight years on the Niter sceen, desided to start up a soul night in and around the Stafford area, North Wall Snooker Club (that was) started an all-nighter, pity it only lasted for one night due to some residents complaining. Next adventure would be Nantwich Civic Hall All-Nighters to which I asked an old mate of mine at the time Chris King to join me, to which he did, these lasted a couple of years until a family came along, my son Jake.
Took around 6 years off from promoting, then started a soul night in Stafford, tried a few places with no luck, then came along Stafford Rangers FC, the function room just blew me away and I knew that this was the place = the rest is History.
