Dearest Mama and Pater
Hello again! I am continuing my last email, where I was telling you of the wonderful ceremony I did be having where my beloved Del and I did become husband and wife. My Del had asked to take be taking our honeymoon at beautiful Takemizu, and I was eager to visiting other lands as well.Although the areoplane flight was of much length, I found it to be much enjoyable with friendly areoplane people often bringing us drinks and foodstuffs. They even did be showing a movie, Simtanic 2: Electric Boogaloo, for part of the flight. My dear Del was most touched by the love story in it and said the actress was quite lovely. Eventually we did land and a van of courtesy was waiting to be taking us to our lodgings. We were to be staying at a lovely resort upon a gentle lake, surrounded by the tranquil countryside of Takemizu. Quite a change it was from life in Baskerville.Inside we were greeted most warmly by the concierge, who welcomed us to the resortUpon finding out we would be staying at their resort for our honeymoon, the concierge most generously upgrade our residence to the honeymoon suite, for no additional cost to our pocketbooks. I felt a warm stirring in my heart when I did sign in for the first time as Mr and Mrs ShmeauAfter depositing our luggages in our new suite, my dear Del and I did take some time to explore our new temporary place of residence. My Del decided to partake of the massages offered to be working out the muscular knots that resulted from our long flight upon the aeroplace. While my Del enjoyed her masseur, I did some exploring of the resort and some meeting of the many peoples staying there. An afternoon storm came to be starting and before I did realize what was occurring, lightning struck quite closely to where I was in conversation with another tourist. The electricity had a most peculiar effect upon my body and I found I could not be making it back to our suite quite fast enough for comfort. After my Del and I had made our selfs respectable again, we took to be trying the local cuisine, created by the resorts most talented local chef. And after that we retired to a nearby chamber for the meditative pouring of teas. My Del was quite knowledgeable of the ceremony surrounding this hallowed practice and did be explaining that she had studied it for a course she had been taking at university. Once again, I felt quite honoured to have fallen in love with this amazing person. After our teas, we retired to our suite for... ah... what newly wed peoples tend to be doing on their honeymoons. The sleeping and dreaming is so much nicer when there is someone to be sharing it with you.The next day we did be embarking on several tours of Takemizu. This place is being quite beautiful and amazing. We saw rare and beautiful birds, received the opportunity to be hold a cub of the endangered pandas and... got chased by bees of the most angry variety. On the day that came to be after that, we visit many of the tranquil shrines and lovely parks near our resort, where at one we did obtain some souvenirs of our time.We learned to play the most intriguing game of mahjongand encountered the mysterious ninja person.Sadly, his questions were most tricksy and I was unable to be convincing him to be teaching me his super secret stealthy ninja ways.Upon returning to our resort, my darling Del and I did be taking a long soak in the hot spring to relax before retiring for the night. Our last day in Takemizu dawned early and promised to be a bright and cheery dayBefore leaving to explore, my Del made a wish in the local shire for there to be something about this day to be making it specialObviously the spirits of Takemizu were listening to her, for on our walking and touring and exploring we did stumble upon a mysterious pagoda where a bearded wise man was deep in meditation. My Del most respectfully and graciously poured teas for all of us and we did speak with the wise man for quite some length. As the night grew on, the wise man then came to be telling the traditional Takemizu legend of a resourceful princess who called upon a great dragon to protect her kingdom from invaders. I hope one day that Del and I will be able to be telling this tale to our children After our time with the wise man, my Del and I were retiring to our resort, as the hour had now come to be late and we would need to be leaving quite early in the morning. I will be missing our wonderful time here, but it will also be being good to be back home. My Del and I have our whole lives to be living together ahead of us.The next morning I did say my good bye to our concierge and complimented him most highly upon our stay here. If we do ever be getting a chance to come back, I would very much like to be staying here again. As we did walk out to be meeting our courtesy van which would be driving us to the aeroport, the skies did open up and rain, much as they did upon our first day. I hurried to the van, as I had no wish to be encountering lightning quite so closely again. My Del told me that I was safe from the lightning, as it is said that lightning is not to be striking the same location twice. As much as I am in love with her, I am not certain if I am believing my Del on this point or not. Regardless, after the long flight from Takemizu, I was most happy to be back home in Baskerville with my beloved Del.I must be going now, as my Del has asked if I can be making and serving of dinner tonight. She is lying down at the moment, for work has been most tiring for her and she has been picking up the flu from her coworkers. I think I shall be making her some soup to be settling her queasy stomach. With all our lovingJoe and Del
