Keth's Corner

Dear Mama

I am sure that by now dear sister Yserberina has been telling you of the lovely lady I have been meeting meeting downtown recently.  Her name is Del and I am of mind to be doing something most serious with her.

I started first by calling my Del and asking her to dinner downtown.  I said it was to be celebrating the promotion of the job I had been receiving some days earlier in the week.

She was most happy to be seeing me again, and my heart did swell at just being near to her.  I had been thinking long on what I was to be doing, and hoped that all did go well in the next few minutes.

Quite nervous I was, and my Del seemed to realize this as she was asking me several times if anything was to be amiss.

I explained that no, all was being quite right but that I has something of most importance to be speaking at her about.

I thought when first was putting my box upon the table that my Del was of the suspicion as to what I would be asking of her.  She had this look up on her face and in her eye.

But she acted so very much surprised when I opened it for her and she saw what resided inside.

I do not think more nervous have I ever been as I wait to see if my Del would be liking the ring that Grandmama had given to me as boarding the Lulzipawp I was.

Grandmama had handed it to me, telling me that she had been forseeing me asking a beautiful lady with hair alike the sun to be my wife.  I can only think that she was speaking of my Del.

My Del was most liking of the ring...

...and moreso most liking of me as she agreed to be marrying me.

My Del did tell me then that I was often in her thoughts, much as she was often being in mine, and that she had been hoping that I would soon to be asking for her hand.  It would be seeming that she had dreamed of such a thing and that often her dreams are to be coming true.

We are planning to be making our marriage in the spring, after the snows have long been going.  I am hoping that you and Pater will be able to be coming to Simmerica to visit and be here for our ceremony.

Your loving son

Joe
