NOTICE BOARD

This page is where any answers to e-mails you send will go  (and to send them....you can ask anything you want, tell me anything you want, I don't mind - just e-mail at caseclosednow@hotmail.com)

Plus any info on bands, gigs, reviews of gigs, albums, new releases and a guest song every week.

This week's guest song is Rage Against The Machine - Bullet In The Head (cos i like it and erm....I have control!!!)

This time the bullet cold rocked ya
A yellow ribbon instead of a swastika
Nothin' proper about ya propaganda
Fools follow rules when the set commands ya
Said it was blue
When ya blood was read
That's how ya got a bullet blasted through ya head

Blasted through ya head
Blasted through ya head

I give a shout out to the living dead
Who stood and watched as the feds cold centralized
So serene on the screen
You were mesmerised
Cellular phones soundin' a death tone
Corporations cold
Turn ya to stone before ya realise
They load the clip in omnicolour
Said they pack the 9, they fire it at prime time
Sleeping gas, every home was like Alcatraz
And mutha fuckas lost their minds

Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Run it!
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high

Checka, checka, check it out
They load the clip in omnicolour
Said they pack the 9, they fire it at prime time
Sleeping gas, every home was like Alcatraz
And mutha fuckas lost their minds

No escape from the mass mind rape
Play it again jack and then rewind the tape
And then play it again and again and again
Until ya mind is locked in
Believin' all the lies that they're tellin' ya
Buyin' all the products that they're sellin' ya
They say jump and ya say how high
Ya brain-dead
Ya gotta fuckin' bullet in ya head

Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Uggh! Yeah! Yea!

Ya standin' in line
Believin' the lies
Ya bowin' down to the flag
Ya gotta bullet in ya head

Ya standin' in line
Believin' the lies
Ya bowin' down to the flag
Ya gotta bullet in ya head

A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
Ya gotta bullet in ya fuckin' head!
Yeah!
Yeah!

Rumour Squash!!!

Ville Valo is NOT - and I repeat NOT dying!!!! (i know how ridiculous that sounds!) Soooooo many people have asked him this now he's come out and said No!!! He is alive and well - so HIM fans don't worry! BUT Ville did say his doctor told him to cut RIGHT down on smoking and if he could stop completely - for his own good - but will he listen - will he fuck....

Brody Dalle is not pregnant by her QOTSA boyfriend - tis all shit!!! Some Australian magazine printed it by mistake - it's definitely not true though!!! (Check out Brody's band The Distillers on the "top ten" page and they're mentioned at the bottom of this page as well as playing at Download - check the "festival page" and a gig review further down this page - they're popular with Kes I can tell you)

Lostprophets have not again pulled out of reading/leeds: - lead singer Ian Watkins says that the Welsh boys are definitely playing at the Carling festivals this year and NME were wrong when they said they were considering pulling out cos they were exhausted - "it's total crap" he said... and since I'm going and I love them - I'm a happy bunny! Check the festival page for more Reading/Leeds info!!!

Answers to e-mails:

Katie Edwargh - It's really weird you said that about Courtney Love and Hole songs being played on Kurt's 10th anniversary memorial weekend on MTV cos I said to sooooo many people on my "Courtney is a whore" crusade that Kurt couldn't even be remembered in death without her barging in on it - so yeah I do agree with you that it was out of order and  to MTV2 who have me and you Katie to answer to!!!! Nice to hear from another Kurt admirer and fellow Courtney hater

Lots of love Kes xxxxx

Lucas T - Erm no I didn't know that System of A Down were your blood brothers lol but it's nice to know you have contacts in high places - I wouldn't mind going to an S.O.A.D gig so if you could call a favour in on your "bros" I'd be very very grateful!!!! And no I am not single - but thankyou for enquiring - for all you know I could be a man - unless of course that's what you're into .......each to their own.....

bit scared to put lots of love - but will do so anyway - Lots of love Kes xxxxx

Nevermind3700 - Hey lol! Howz you - still hating stereotypes - still laughing at Burberry - keep watching your Kurt DVD and hating Courtney with me (course she killed him!) HIM is metal - we agree on that too!

Lots Of Love Kes

E-MAIL OF THE WEEK!!!

This is from Yaz_outofhertree_666 and if I could afford to or be bothered to send her some kind of prize I would cos this e-mail - well...tis bril! For one thing when she e-mails she has a flashing picture of Brian Molko from Placebo which impressed me no end and also...I happened to tell her a story of a certain person I know who had an orgasm to Muse "Time Is Running Out" and she responded to it by experimenting in her bedroom I presume to see which songs made her feel erm...the same way. She tried Placebo (her favourite band) "Pure Morning" which did nothing for her, then Green Day "Macy's Day Parade" which was "a disappointment" followed by HIM "Buried Alive By Love" this had some kind of reaction apparently but nothing that compared in anyway to an orgasm - Yaz was in despair by this point until she found KoRn "Freak On A Leash" apparently this really did do it for her - congratulations Yaz - you are obviously mentally unhinged but entertained me for a short amount of time and got your name up in lights...sort of - but if I were you I wouldn't publicise doing what you were doing - you may find people start to avoid you - must admit you wouldn't be my 1st choice as a house guest...

Lots Of Love Kes

xxxxxx

If anyone else feels like trying that please do cos I find it sickly interesting and e-mail me the results - we could make a pie chart of "Top 10 orgasm songs" - girls and boys are both welcome to try it....

Gig Reviews

I like gigs....alot and I like to tell you lot about them and if you wanna e-mail some of your own gig reviews IF THEY'RE FAIR then I'll be happy to stick them up here as well cos I'm a nosey cow !!!!

Muse - Bournemouth - Amazing - Matt Bellamy knows how to perform, he jumps about the stage like he's on springs playing keyboard every now and then hitting the high notes amazingly those asthmatic vocals sounding really good - never slipping. Elbow were supporting - not really my cup of tea bit too emo and boring... Also there's lazers and twinkly star bits, big inflatable balls that burst and are all full of confetti - I personally was impressed and everyone around me seemed to agree it was a fucking good gig!!! Definite highlight was "Plug In Baby"

The Distillers - Brixton Academy -

I lurve Brody and crew - have done since Sing Sing Death House came out and bought Coral Fang and was even more impressed so couldn't wait to see them live for this NME awards gig! Peaches was supporting - another one who's not quite what I like but some people seemed to find her blood spitting stripping antics entertaining....I suppose it was different..... But from the second The Distillers got on Brixton's pretty ickle stage (at which point I pushed myself as far forward as I could - 2nd row from the front) I was in Brody Dalle heaven - they were brilliant - she knows exactly how to hold a crowd and looked brilliant in leather with all her hair and make up done!!!! Quality gig and definite highlights were Drain The Blood and City of Angels - respect to Miss Dalle!!!!

Lostprophets - Brixton Academy -

I first saw Lostprophets in October 2002 when The Fake Sound Of Progress - album number one was out - so I have not just jumped on the new fans bandwagon thankyou very much!!! I saw them at Brixton then and they were very very good but they weren't as big so tickets were a lot easier to come by!!! We actually got tickets for upstairs cos the stalls were sold out but we blagged our way downstairs to get to the pit! They surpassed themselves and I was even more impressed than last time - they played a couple of old songs which was great cos you could spot the original fans looking well happy and when songs like Burn Burn and We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan (-See this week's "Top Ten") came on Brixton went mental - was a great night    well done to Ian and the other Welsh lads cos you've come a long way boys!!!!

Songs for occasions

OK basically some people on my e-mail list started asking me what song I wanted at my wedding, funeral etc..

so i brought some together:

wedding - The Used - A Box Full Of Sharp Objects (my ultimate love song you just have to listen to it to know why - definite recommended download)

funeral - Green Day - Time Of Your Life (pretty self explanatory)

birth of 1st child - Nirvana - In Bloom (all about being born and has best line ever - "Nature is a whore"

18th birthday - S.O.A.D - Aerials (being pissed that song must sound remotely normal)

day get charged with arson - Lostprophets - Burn Burn (for obvious reasons)

Grungex76xGirl e-mailed me telling me that her ultimate love song was The Distillers - Beat Your Heart Out - another definite recommended download I can tell you that!
