Our quartet was founded in summer 2007. The members are: Mari Martikainen - tenor saxophone and flute, Iida Savolainen / Marja Erdogan - viola, Johanna Repo - piano and Suvi Kallio - accoustic guitar and diatonic accordion.
Our programme mainly consists of Astor Piazzolla`s compositions but we also play Finnish tangos and jazz standards. The simple idea of our group is to make original and challenging arrangements of music that we love and hold in great value. We all contribute to our arrangements so everyone`s ideas will be heard. |

20.3.2008 Culture Centre Telakka, "Rock beautiful - Racism ugly"
The quartet performed in this racism fighting event after the magnificent Rumba Tre. The show was the best we ever had, and people there were beautiful. In our last song Vuelvo al Sur we welcomed the talented tenor Martin Alvarado to sing with us and he, as usual, captured the audience instantly. We thank Martin and everyone who came to Telakka that night so much!!! This evening ment a lot to us.

21.11.2007 Tampere Steiner School benefit concert
We helped the school raise money for building acoustics to their concert hall by giving a benefit concert. It was a nice experience because we could play totally accoustically. Even accoustic guitar sounded loud and good in that well constructed concert hall.

20 - 29.9. 2007 Maailmantangofestivaali at Tampere
We took part in this amazing festival as volunteers. Our job was to help the festival artists with soundchecks and bring notestands and mics and plugs to their places between shows. We got to meet wonderful artists and hear everything that was going on in the heads of Finland's top nuevo tango musicians.
On 27 Sep we had our first own show at a restaurant called Tempo Terrace. The concert went well and for us it was a perfect ending to a great festival.
