KENYA SOW OR GO

PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IN AFRICA

Reaching Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ

Mark 16:15-20  And He said to them, Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.
And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.
Then indeed, after speaking to them, the Lord was taken up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And going out, they proclaimed everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word by miraculous signs following. Amen.

Mission to Kenya and Malawi

"Kenya sow or go" is a ministry vision given to Sylvia Suhr in 2002.

Sylvia's vision is to preach the gospel in Africa and help bring people out of the poverty lifestyle by teaching and training in the word of God and helping people to find ways to help themselves and to gain confidence and godly character.

Sylvia's first trip to Africa was to Kenya in 2000 where she was part of a team which went to preach the gospel at crusades and teach the word of God at a bible school there.

Her second trip was in 2003 after working in the U K for nine months and visiting relatives there.
This trip was to last for almost two years and was in a little fishing village next to Lake Victoria called Mbita.
She lived amongst the people there and hundreds of people came to hear the gospel message and were set free from the curse of poverty.

Her next visit was to Malawi for two weeks and then on to Kenya for another 10 weeks.
The mission to Malawi and Kenya in November 2007 had lots of highlights and many people were added to the kingdom of God.
The people of Malawi are so friendly and the missions success could be attributed mostly to the unity of the team as we  ministered in many of the remote villages.
The two weeks in Malawi passed very quickly and soon she was on her way to Kenya.

Kenya is very different in so many ways, the people are also friendly and go out of their way to make visitors feel at home.
During her time in Kenya the elections took place and because of the violence that came out of that it was a difficult time to do all that she had planned to do.
But she was able to visit Mbita and see some of the people she knew there and do some hospital ministry in Homa Bay.
